12.29.07 :: Guest DJ DuJour + release party for Mankind is Obsolete!

For the final installment of Submerge this year, we have a couple of surprises in store for you to please your industrial heart. First, we have for you the first guest DJ appearance by DJ DuJour! A resident at Saturday's Midnight, she has also been seen spinning around town at events like Spooky 2008, as well as an upcoming apprearance at Bound's New Year's Eve Ball!

Secondly, we have for you, our loyal patrons, another CD release party - this time, courtesy of Mankind Is Obsolete. Fans of guitar-driven industrial take note, for their latest disc (Trapped Inside) has wowed ciritcs and fans alike. Also, if you would like to see them live, check them out on the 5th of January at Midnight alongside a guest appearance by Subermerge's own DJ Vlad!

Keep an eye on this site as we round up even more pleasantries to ensure you have one last round of all-industrial dancing before we roll forward into the '08.

-------------------------------

Submerge is self-described as D.C.'s home for "industrial" music, covering everything from EBM to synthpop, powernoise to hellektro, guitar-industrial to goth-crossover.

Currently, Submerge is on the second floor of Club Expo, a space that features a nice hardwood dance floor, a small stage, plus ample seating and tables for those who need a break from dancing.

For those in the 21+ set, please note that we will feature nightly drink specials of $3.00 rail and domestic beers from 9pm to 10:30pm. After 10:30 PM, our prices are $4.00 for rail and domestics, $5.00 for call, $6.00 for high call, and $7.00 for top shelf. Keep in mind, our staff bartender may be a familiar face as well - Jay, who has bartended at events like Alchemy and currently Arcadia. Additonally, if you're looking for food, there will be a great menu available to select from, including some American, Italian and even Ethiopean choices!
